Marmaduke cartoonist Brad Anderson '51 (right) talks with John Thompson, professor of illustration in the School of Art and Design's Department of Art, at the opening reception of The Original Art of the Funny Papers, a VPA exhibition that featured famous syndicated cartoons, including originals on loan from Anderson, Greg Walker ’72 (Beetle Bailey) and Robb Armstrong ’85 (Jump Start). Along with Bill Janocha '81 (Beetle Bailey) and Joe Glisson G'84, the three cartoonists also presented a panel discussion as part of SU's Orange Central Homecoming + Reunion 2010.
