The School of Art is located in three buildings: the Dorothea Ilgen Shaffer Art Building and Smith Hall on Main Campus and the Comstock Art Facility, also known as “ComArt,” near South Campus. Shaffer Art Building houses studios and classrooms for illustration and painting, while ComArt houses extensive studio facilities and shops for ceramics, jewelry and metalsmithing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. ComArt is also home to art education studios and classrooms. Smith Hall is SU:VPA’s nexus for interdisciplinary programs and research, including graduate study in the School of Art.
