Lauren Stevens is an award-winning theatrical producer and the principal of Wonder City LLC, a production company she founded to develop projects for theater and film. Currently, Lauren is a producer of the Broadway musical Come From Away, which has received Best Musical awards across the country, including the Tony Award for Best Direction. She is also a co-producer on The Ferryman, Jez Butterworth’s Olivier Award-winning play that arrives on Broadway this fall following a sold-out run in London’s West End. She is involved in many Broadway, Off Broadway, and regional productions; some of the Tony-nominated Broadway productions include Rocky, Catch Me If You Can, Ragtime, Death of a Salesman, Lombardi, All My Sons, and August Wilson’s Radio Golf. Lauren has come full circle, returning to New York working in Broadway and Off Broadway theater from a career in film production that has taken her all over the country. She began as a production coordinator at WNET/PBS Great Performances series, Theater in America, a program that adapted exceptional regional theater to television. A move to the Midwest segued Lauren to a position as producer for Jerry Smith Studios, one of the top news consultants in the country producing commercials specializing in newscaster and television station promotion. This led to Lauren partnering to launch a film production company, the Black Swan, at which she executive produced award-winning local, regional, and national television commercials. What began as a B.F.A. graduate of Boston University’s acting/theatre arts program has now circled back to working in theater on “the longest street in the world”—Broadway. Lauren is a member of the Broadway League and New York Women in Film and Television.
