Kipp Stevens graduated from VPA with a bachelor of industrial design degree. He began his career in the exterior design studio of American Motors Corp. in Detroit. He moved to New York City to take design positions with industrial design firms Raymond Loewy International and Henry Dreyfuss Associates. During this time, he also served as co-creator of Chief Executive Magazine. In 1978 he moved to Milwaukee to lead Brooks Stevens Design for 30 years. For nine years he served as a board member and then chairman of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. He now lives in New York City and is a member of the Industrial Designers Society of America.
