These are some frequently asked questions about the College of Visual and Performing Arts. We also offer in-depth FAQs for prospective students (both undergraduate and graduate) and current undergraduate students in those respective sections. You may always contact us if you have additional questions.
For information on how to apply to VPA, start by visiting our section for prospective students. If you are a prospective undergraduate student, including an intra-University transfer student, you will select “undergraduate.” If you are interested in applying to one of our graduate programs, select “graduate.”
Both the undergraduate and graduate sections also offer additional, detailed FAQs for prospective students.
It depends on the program to which you are applying. The prospective students section outlines requirements for each of our academic areas/programs. Be sure to select "undergraduate" or "graduate" to be directed to the appropriate information.
I’m an employer, and I’d like to recruit VPA students for internships or employment after graduation. How do I do that?
Syracuse University’s Office of Career Services offers information for employers who wish to partner with or recruit@SU.
In addition, several VPA programs, including the School of Art’s illustration program and the School of Design’s communications design program, host events showcasing senior portfolios in New York City for alumni and industry professionals. Contact Tracy Tajbl, 315.443.9727 or firstname.lastname@example.org, to learn more about these opportunities.
We're glad you asked! In addition to reading about our academics, you will find many interesting facts and figures about the college, as well as a timeline of our history, including Crouse College, in About VPA. (And speaking of history, if you're interested in exploring Syracuse University's past, be sure to check out the wealth of information at Syracuse University Archives.)
If your event is sponsored by VPA and is listed on our calendar, you will find specific parking information listed with the event.
If you are coming to campus for a special event for prospective or newly admitted students (for example, fall or spring receptions), parking information will be included with the event information you receive. For undergraduate daily information session visits to the VPA Office of Recruitment and Admissions, parking is available in the University Avenue Garage. The office will validate this parking.
