Richard McAuliffe is chairman of the Mayforth Group, a government relations firm in Rhode Island. Before founding the company, he served in the public sector as a legislative assistant for U.S. Senator Jack Reed and ran State Senator Charles J. Fogarty’s successful campaign for lieutenant governor, after which he served as Fogarty’s chief of staff. He served as U.S. Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy’s district director and was responsible for Kennedy’s successful re-election campaign in 2000. In the private sector, Rick worked as a community relations officer for the Royal Bank of Scotland’s U.S. subsidiary, Citizens Financial Group. He is a member of the Rhode Island Judicial Nominating Committee, the Rhode Island Democratic State Committee, and the Sons of Irish Kings. He has also been active in raising money for various nonprofit and educational entities throughout Rhode Island. He holds a bachelor of science degree in speech communication from SU:VPA.
